Mercure Bandung City Centre

We are in Bandung again! This time around we stayed at Mercure Bandung City Centre, a 4 star business hotel owned by AccorHotels Group. They have another branch: Grand Mercure Setiabudi (5 star hotel) near Lembang area for those who enjoys nature and cool weather. Lembang is a popular tourist destination located on the hillside of Bandung especially popular for family vacation.

Pros

• 9 min by car from Bandung Station
• New hotel opened in 2017
• Friendly receptionist
• Bottle Shop within the hotel

Cons

• Avoid 3rd floor (Privilege Room): Got woken up from loud banging noises & power drill on 2nd floor Function Room, which I later found out there is a wedding set up for the night. 
• No towel & drinks at the Gym

Modern and funky design with hints of blue, yellow and brown that goes perfectly with its marble floor. 

PRIVILEGE ROOM WITH BALCONY

We got offered a free upgrade from Classic Room (28 m2) to Privilege Room with Balcony (30 m2) because the hotel is full when we checked in.

The main difference between Classic Room and Privilege Room is the additional balcony.

EXECUTIVE SUITE

For our 2nd night, we upgraded our room to Executive Suite (70 m2) with an additional Rp 500,000 so our friends could come over and hang out with us. We were lucky to have the last suite left as the customer didn't turn up.

Living Area

The communal living area is well designed with blue sofa and blue printed carpet that caught my eye instantly. The only downside for me is the table is too small for us to eat.

Bedroom

A less traditional bedroom arrangement with the bed placed in the middle of the room. This is also a way to get more functionality of the space.

En Suite Bathroom 

The room comes with an En Suite Bathroom with separate bath tub, double sink vanity unit, shower area and toilet allowing the bathroom to seem spacious.
