VENICE CANALS
The Venice Canal is a historic district in the residential Venice suburb of Los Angeles listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The man-made canals was built in 1905 by developer Abbot Kinney as part of his "Venice of America". After a trip to Italy (Venice and the Italian Riviera), he sought to recreate the feel of Venice, Italy in Los Angeles as a resort style residential.
Away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles, it's an oasis of tranquility here with impressive views of the canals. We will definitely stay in this area for our return visit.
VENICE BEACH BOARDWALK
Take a walk on the Venice Beach Boardwalk - you will see talented street performers performing a show, street vendors, musicians, people playing volleyball on the beach.
Muscle Beach
You will find the Muscle Beach, the world's most famous outdoor gym right in the heart of Venice Beach. Muscle Beach is the home of bodybuilders, some of the well known names of bodybuilders here are Arnold Schwarzenegger, Frank Zane and Steve 'Hercules' Reeves.
Nearby Restaurant: Teddy's Red Tacos
A go to place for lunch - Teddy's Red Tacos is just right off the Venice Beach Boardwalk.
UOVO
I was craving for pasta so we headed to the nearest town, Santa Monica to grab a quick lunch before heading to The Getty Center.
THE GETTY CENTER
The Getty Center and The Getty Villa is located at different location. Whether if you can visit both location in one day or different day would depends what is your purpose of visit. For us, we would walk to each gallery and read about each art piece that would take up a lot of time definitely.
KANG HO DONG BAEKJEONG
We headed back to Koreatown to have Korean BBQ and call it an early night.
