The Apurva Kempinski Bali: UnveilingThe Majestic Open-Air Theater

The Apurva Kempinski Bali standing atop the majestic cliff of Nusa Dua offers the epitome of beachfront luxury with breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean and tropical garden.

Apurva means unique and magnificent in Sanskrit along with their four main pillars: Spectacular, Sensational, Curated and Serene targets the hotel to "take the form of a majestic open-air theater, where centuries of Indonesian culture are distilled and brought to life."

Since opening its doors on 1 February 2019, the grand property has been charming the world with its meticulous craftsmanship in the refined characteristics of Indonesia-inspired interior design and architecture.

The interiors are dominated with wood and other warm elements; paying homage to centuries-old Indonesian kingdom and palaces.

Every spot in this resort is utterly beautiful, designed by Award-winning architect Budiman Hendropurnomo of UK-based Denton Corker Marshall & highly acclaimed interior designer Rudi Dodo of Trivium Design Group.

LOBBY

The Javanese influences can be felt in the Pendopo-style lobby, a wide-open and welcoming space with a soaring tiered roof that draws the eye up to the cosmos.

Pendopo was an important part of the building during the era of Indonesa's Majapahit Kingdom. It is a place to put offerings in religious ceremonies or a resting place for the King an other nobles. The intricate Javanese hand-carved gebyok (partitions) was meticulously designed that symbolizes the prosperous Majapahit kingdom.

Through the center of the building, you will see the 250-step "Grand Staircase" where tumbling waterfalls emerge from the lush landscape inspired by Bali's mother temple, Pura Besakih.
