We did a quick stop over at Hoover Dam then off to our next adventure - Grand Canyon!
On our way to Grand Canyon, our stomach starts growling so we stop by Flagstaff to grab some lunch at Beaver Street Brewery. It takes around 1 hour 30 minutes to get to Grand Canyon.
Beaver Street Brewery is the first brewpub in Flagstaff opened in March of 1994. A local's favorite that is especially popular in the area as they brewed their own beer and serve woodfired pizzas as well.
Off we go to our final destination - Grand Canyon!
We were deciding if we should fill up the fuel as we approached Grand Canyon since its starting to get dark. It's a smart move because we found out there is no gas station in Grand Canyon Village. We stop by Grand Canyon Inn and Motel which is 20 minutes from Grand Canyon that also have a service station.
Finally here we are at the Grand Canyon National Park. The entrance fee for private vehicle is $35 valid for 7 days. There is free shuttle buses outside the visitor center but we chose to walk instead since we can't be bothered waiting.
In 1540, a group of Spanish soldiers first founded The Grand Canyon while on an expedition to find the fabulous Seven Cities of Gold. The Grand Canyon became an official United States National Park in 1919 and today it is one of the seven natural wonders of the world.
The Grand Canyon, located in northern Arizona stretches over 270 miles long, up to 18 miles wide and a mile deep is one of the biggest canyons in the world.
What a breathtaking view from Mather Point looking at the vivid colors of the rocks! On the downside, we came here during winter so it is extremely cold and snowing as well. After all, it is all worth it!
