I was told Eggslut is a MUST HAVE and this is coming from all of my friends. This got stuck in my head that I definitely have to try it to check out what is the hype all about.
Alvin Cailan, the restaurant owner came up with this idea when he first started cooking all the scrambled egg-based hangover food for himself and his friends. He simply adds an egg to everything for the love of eggs. Eggslut initially started off as a street food truck in Los Angeles in 2011and today he is one of the most popular casual-dining restaurateur.
WHY IS IT CALLED EGGSLUT?
It was a foodie term when he used to work in a professional kitchen when chefs were putting eggs on everything and they would say, 'Oh that chef, he's an eggslut.' Then, he realized this has to be a name of a place and you can just throw eggs on everything when you're making a menu.
We knew there is Eggslut in Los Angeles but we thought perhaps the branch in Las Vegas will be a shorter queue. Well, that is not true because it can be quite a wait in the morning and people are literally an early riser for this.
The restaurant is packed with diners by the time we get our food so we sat across the restaurant where everyone is eating Eggslut as well.

As I am writing up this post, I feel an immediate hunger and craving for this. This is my absolute favorite among all as anyone who would know me knows my love for eggs! The creamy, soft, velvety eggs with chives accompanied by sweet caramelized onions, along with the melting cheddar cheese and a tangy sriracha mayo in a buttery warm and soft brioche bun. Perfect is the only word to describe this!
