Restoran Xfrens(团圆饭点): Family Favourites In SS18

Xfrens Restaurant is one of my favourite go to place if I want to eat around Subang Jaya. There seems to be no relations between the english and chinese name of the restaurant. 团缘 basically means reunion, well what matters most is the food is good.

Mon - Sun: 10.30 AM - 3 PM / 5.30 PM - 10.30 PM

Do check out their "Today's Special" on the wall for its seasonal menu. It is advisable to get there early as the restaurant gets really busy especially dinner time.

Pumpkin Beancurd

The pumpkin beancurd is one of their signature dish. The deep fried beancurd is made of fish paste simmered with creamy pumpkin and salted egg yolk sauce, and a strong aroma of curry leaf.

Marmite Chicken

I absolutely loved this dish! The chicken is lightly battered and deep fried until crunchy, glazed with a sweet and savory marmite sauce.

Golden Squid

Golden Squid here is more towards the dry version, each of the squid is coated with a rich salted egg yolk sauce.

Bitter Gourd With Egg 

Tender crispy bitter gourd stir fried with duck egg (i think), guess the vegetable is not bitter if you know how to cook with the right technique.
