Un's Restaurant Kuta: Hidden Alleyway Restaurant Since 1989

Un's Restaurant is a hidden gem located in an alleyway in Kuta since 1989. The beautiful garden setting restaurant have a very homey comfortable feel that will leave you impressed.

Marlon Gerber, an Indonesian-Swiss youngster is a professional surfer by day and restaurant manager by night. Un's Restaurant is a family business named after his Indonesian mother. Despite they don't do much advertising, they still get a lot of media publicity and people keep coming back due to positive word of mouth.


Un's Restaurant is not visible from the main street since it is tucked in an alleyway. Just follow the sign and it will lead you to the restaurant.

Welcome Drink

Once we are seated, we were served Frozen Lemon Margarita as our complimentary welcome drink and cold wet towels to freshen up.

Entree

Complimentary homemade chicken nugget for Entree that comes with 3 sauces. It would be nicer if the nugget is a bit more crispy.

UN'S SPECIALS

Entrecote "Cafe de Paris"

The sliced beef tenderloin served on a hot plate was covered with Un's homemade herb-butter sauce served with French fries, this is a dish to die for! We had it Medium Rare paired with wine, the fruitiness of the wine contrasts perfectly with the robust meatiness.

Ravioli Carousel

If you can't decide which Ravioli to order, go with the Ravioli Carousel. It is a combination of all 5 kinds of homemade ravioli on the menu that brings you a journey through Europe's finest taste with a touch of Bali.

Clockwise:

1. Ravioli UN's: Ravioli filled with chicken on original Balinese mixture of herb, on fresh butter.
This taste like ayam betutu in a ravioli, something different with a blend of Balinese flavour.

2. Ravioli Verde Tonnato: Spinach ravioli filled with tuna, on fresh butter.
This would be good for tuna lover but not for me.

3. Ravioli Ricotta: Ravioli with ricotta cheese & spinach filling, on fresh salvia butter.
You can't go wrong with the combination of cheese and spinach.

4. Ravioli Mushroom: Ravioli filled with champignon, onion, garlic & cream, on fresh butter.
I'm a mushroom lover so this is perfect for me.

5. Ravioli Roquefort: Ravioli stuffed with a blend of Roquefort cheese & walnuts, on a lemon cream sauce.
I absolutely loved this, the crunchiness of the walnut and lemon cream sauce gives it a refreshing
after taste.

PARKING

Be sure to park near the restaurant because there is no parking in front of the restaurant.
