  3. Pablo
  4. Chouxcream Chouxcri

BAKE CHEESE TART

πŸ“ LUMINE EST Shinjuku 1F 3-38-1

Born in Hokkaido their Cheese Tart is The Real Deal. As what it says on their website, BAKE's fluffy cheese mousse in double-baked crust will give you an unforgettable taste in a bite.

The warm freshly baked cheese tarts are served directly to you in an open kitchen. How can you say no to this?

MANNEKEN

πŸ•“ Mon - Sat: 11.00 - 22.00/ Sun: 11.00 - 20.00
πŸš‰ 2 mins walk from Ginza Station
πŸ“ 104-0061 Tokyo, Chuo City, 7, ιŠ€εΊ§οΌ•−οΌ—−οΌ‘οΌ™ η¬¬δΈ€η”Ÿε‘½ιŠ€εΊ§γƒ•γ‚©γƒͺービル 1階

I was so caught up with the smell that got me wonder what are they selling. Turns out it is the waffles from Manneken in Ginza. We came just in time as the waffles we bought was freshly baked.

The story behind Manneken is an interesting one:
Manneken is a Japanese brand from Osaka founded by Isao Araki. He got inspired when he tried the local waffle in Belgium because it has a crunchy texture. It is different from the waffle in Japan that's when he decided to introduce Belgian waffles to Japan.

Araki starts making Belgian waffles by bringing the raw materials and molds to Japan. After rounds of trial and error, he successfully found his recipe and opened the 1st store in Osaka. In 1998, Araki received the "Belgium Crown Medal Chevalier" for his contribution to the cultural exchange between Belgium and Japan.

Pablo is a fairly new dessert shop started in 2011 from Osaka. What makes Pablo so special? They offer "Seasonal Limited" flavours for every season of the year. Some of the summer flavours are Oita no Kabosu (Citrus), Golden pineapple and Coconut cheese tart & Cream soda mini cheese tart.

It is extremely yummy fresh from the oven!
