We stayed at Hotel Sunroute Osaka Namba which is 2 mins walk away from Dotonbori.
Dotonbori is famous for its street food also a popular tourist destination in Osaka. It is packed with restaurants, food stalls, street vendors along the street. You will know when you arrive at Dotonbori when you see people posing and taking photos in front of the Glico sign.
8 MUST TRY at Dotonbori:
- Acchichi Honpo
- Creo-Ru
- Kinryu Ramen
- World's Second Best Freshly Baked Melon Pan
- Kamukura
- Matsusakagyu Yakiniku M
- Kani Doraku
- Osaka Ohsho
ACCHICHI HONPO
This is our 1st stop at Dotonbori. We joined in the queue assuming it should be good if its long queue. Turns out it is delicious! I even came back for 2nd round before heading back to the hotel.CREO-RU
There is more ginger for the fillings. Skin is less crispy compared to Kukuru. However, this is also another popular Takoyaki spot in Dotonbori.KINRYU RAMEN: Ramen with Kimchi
3 Soup Base: Shoyu, Miso, Tonkotsu
I saw people around me added Kimchi (Take it from the counter) into their ramen so I give it a go as well. Surprisingly my tonkotsu ramen taste extra delicious with the Kimchi.

WORLD'S SECOND BEST FRESHLY BAKED MELON PAN
KAMUKURA
Kamukura is a Must Have for me when I visit Japan. This is the only ramen loaded with vegetables which I love it.MATSUSAKAGYU YAKINIKU M
I've make reservation online beforehand just to make sure I get a seat for lunch. We ordered the 'Matsusaka Beef DX Platter' which has 6 different parts of Matsusaka beef. The meat are mostly good except the Lean beef for me.
KANI DORAKU: CHARCOAL GRILLED CRAB
A famous crab restaurant in Japan always with a long queue. It is well known for its fresh and sweet crab cooked in many ways. We didn't bother waiting so we just bought the grilled charcoal crab legs from the stall. Smart move for Kani Doraku though.Photo credit: Tripzilla
OSAKA OHSHO
Osaka Ohsho has been there since 1969 also known as the "King of Gyoza". We tried the famed signature gyoza which surprisingly is only so so. Well, taste is subjective.
